Corporate Membership
Selection Criteria:
To be considered for Corporate Membership, a nominee must:
- Have at least 10 years of active contribution to science, research, or innovation in Africa or globally
- Demonstrate significant leadership in their field (e.g., policy influence, research breakthroughs, institutional impact).
- Possess a strong record of publications, patents or innovations.
- Be actively engaged in mentoring, capacity building, or advocacy for science and development.
- Must have presented work at conferences, symposia or scientific events.
- Actively committed to mentoring and developing others in their field.
- Exhibit values that align with the mission and goals of IASS.
- Have recommendation or recognition from peers or institutions in the scientific community.
Selection Process:
Nomination:
- Candidates must be nominated by an existing Fellow or Executive Council member
- Nominations must include a detailed CV, a statement of impact, and two letters of support
Peer Review:
The selection process for Fellowship involves a rigorous peer review conducted by the IASS Fellowship Committee composed of distinguished Fellows of the Society. Evaluation is based on contributions, leadership, and alignment with IASS goals.
Recommended candidates are forwarded to the Executive Council for final approval. Successful nominees are officially notified and inducted during a major IASS event or general assembly.
