Call for Research Grant Application
The International African Society of Sciences (IASS) is calling on interested individuals to apply for its Research Support Grant aimed at researchers conducting impactful scientific investigations across Africa.
This grant provides $2000 in funding to support fieldwork, data collection, laboratory analysis, minor equipment, or publication costs for small-scale but high-impact projects.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant be an early-career researchers who have not yet received his/her terminal degree (Ph.D) but is actively engaged in research.

The proposed research must be science-focused, with relevance to health, medical, or environmental health issues that address local, regional, or national challenges.

Applicant must be a registered member of the International African Society of Sciences (IASS) at the Associate membership level or above.

Applicants should be affiliated with an accredited academic or research institution.

Successful applicants may receive an award of up to USD 2,000 to support their research activities.
Application Requirements
- Fill and submit the application form (to be provided)
- A 1-page proposal outlining the research question, objectives, methodology, and expected impact
- Brief budget breakdown (how the $2000 will be spent)
- CV or academic profile (maximum 2 pages)
- A support letter from a supervisor, mentor, or department head.
Selection Criteria
- Clarity and feasibility of the proposed research
- Relevance to African scientific advancement or development
- Potential for innovation and community impact
- Appropriate and justified use of funds

Successful applicants will be notified by email and announced during the IASS 2025 International Scientific Research Conference.
