The International African Society of Sciences (IASSCIENCES) is excited to announce an open call for applications for Editorial Board Members of the African Research Opinion Communication (AROC) Journal. AROC is a distinguished subsidiary of IASSCIENCES, dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles that advance the fields of science and biotechnology within Africa and beyond.
Position Overview
Editorial Board Members will support the Editor-in-Chief in maintaining the academic quality and integrity of the journal. They will play a crucial role in reviewing manuscripts, guiding editorial decisions, and shaping the journal’s vision. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of African-led scholarly communication and research dissemination on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Peer Review: Conduct rigorous and timely peer reviews in journal category.
• Manuscript Evaluation: Provide editorial input on manuscript quality and relevance.
• Strategic Input: Contribute to discussions on journal strategy, special issues, and thematic focus.
• Promotion: Promote AROC Journal within academic and professional networks to encourage high-quality submissions.
• Collaboration: Participate in periodic meetings and collaborate with fellow board members and the Editor-in-Chief.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree (or a PhD candidate) with good track record of academic performance.
- At least 3-5 peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- Active affiliation with a university, research institute, or professional body.
- Publications/Reviewing/Editorial experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly to editorial tasks.
- Must be of African origin with significant International exposure.
