The International African Society of Sciences (IASSCIENCES) is excited to announce an open call for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the African Research Opinion Communication (AROC) Journal. AROC is a distinguished subsidiary of IASSCIENCES, dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles that advance the field of science and biotechnology within Africa and beyond.
Position Overview
The Editor-in-Chief will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AROC Journal. This leadership position involves overseeing the editorial process, managing manuscript submissions, and ensuring the publication of groundbreaking research. The Editor-in-Chief will work closely with the editorial board and engage with the research community to enhance the journal’s impact and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
• Editorial Oversight: Ensure the integrity and quality of the peer review process of the journal category involved, providing timely and fair evaluations of submitted manuscripts.
• Strategic Vision: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the journal’s profile, reach, and impact within the scientific community.
• Content Management: Curate a diverse and high-quality portfolio of research articles, reviews, and special issues of journal category.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with researchers, authors, and reviewers to promote the journal and attract top-tier submissions.
• Editorial Board Coordination: Lead and coordinate the activities of the editorial board of the journal category involved, fostering a collaborative and dynamic editorial environment.
Qualifications
• Academic Excellence: A robust track record of published research in relevant fields. Must be a Phd holder in the field of journal classification.
• Editorial Experience: Demonstrated experience in editorial roles or academic publishing (for atleast 5 years).
• Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and effectively manage editorial processes.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must be of African origin with significant international exposure.
