Abdullateef Lawal

Abdullateef Lawal is a distinguished Nigerian social entrepreneur, policy strategist, and youth development leader with over a decade of experience bridging government, business, and the nonprofit sector to drive large-scale social impact. He is the visionary Founder of iDixcover and Brigers, two pioneering platforms transforming how young people in Africa access mentorship, scholarships, enterprise support, and career opportunities. Since its founding in 2019, iDixcover has impacted more than 10,000 young people and MSMEs, generating over $4.8 million in verified social and economic value and earning global recognition through the One Young World Impact Platform. Building on this success, Abdullateef launched Brigers in 2025 as a blended career development ecosystem that combines digital tools with community-based Career Kiosks to deliver mentorship, workshops, and advisory services at affordable rates.

Abdullateef’s global outlook is reflected in his education and professional engagements. He is a Chevening Scholar with a Master’s in International Business and Development from the University of Sussex, where he also completed a consultancy with Airbus UK Defence and Space, delivering recommendations on ethical supply chains and sustainability—work commended for its originality and practical impact. He is currently pursuing a dual Social Impact MBA and Master’s in Management Science at Boston University, further deepening his expertise at the intersection of innovation, business, and social good. His public service track record includes serving as Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State on Social Intervention, where he redesigned empowerment programs that supported over 150,000 small businesses and helped domesticate Nigeria’s Start-Up Act, benefiting more than 500,000 MSMEs.

His leadership has earned him multiple prestigious awards, including the National Youth Service Corps State Chairman’s Award, the LEAP Africa Social Innovators Programme Award, and the ATEC Pitch Battle Prize (Germany). He has been a delegate of the World Bank Group Youth Summit, a One Young World Ambassador (Manchester 2022, Montreal 2024), and an active participant in global leadership platforms including YALI RLC Ghana, the Because International Fellowship, and the Action Accelerator Africa/Europe initiative. Abdullateef has also mentored extensively through the Tony Elumelu Foundation, LEAP Africa Youth Leadership Development Programme, the University of Sussex Business School, and the iamtheCODE initiative, guiding both entrepreneurs and refugee youth in Kenya.

From training 50,000+ corps members, to raising $245,000 in grants for youth-focused initiatives, to influencing public policy and youth development at national and international levels, Abdullateef has consistently demonstrated the power of combining entrepreneurship, policy innovation, and mentorship. His vision remains clear: to scale transformative, youth-driven solutions across Africa that equip millions with the networks, skills, and confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

In recognition of his remarkable achievements, transformative leadership, and enduring commitment to youth empowerment and African development, Abdullateef Lawal has been elected as a Fellow of the International African Society of Sciences (FIASS).
