Owolabi Ayowole is a PhD student at South Dakota State University whose research centers on developing innovative analytical solutions at the intersection of chemistry, public health, and environmental sustainability.
He is an analytical chemist with strong expertise in chromatographic and mass-spectrometric method development, including GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and HPLC techniques. His research spans biomass conversion and waste-to-wealth technologies, cannabinoid profiling, cyanide and thiocyanate analysis in environmental and biological matrices, as well as the sensitive detection of mycotoxins.
He has gained international research and professional experience across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including a funded research visit to the University of Edinburgh. His work integrates industrial quality-management experience with rigorous academic method development, positioning him at the interface of applied and fundamental analytical science.
